I don't know if you think this is a good update or not.Well, either way, I'm working on updating Shaman King Nation. You know, that news blog that keeps you updated on stuff.
The time I stop dying

I'm not dead! Neither is Jezzy. Neither is Dit. Neither is Alessa. Then where are the updates!? Uhh.... I'm working on it.But before we get to that. It's been 3 months, but here's another KZB raw release. Things take time. But of course, you could always buy them yourself. And you should! Amazon.co.jp is your friend. So, if you are wondering about when the next volumes are coming out (since, we are behind Japan now), here's what Jezzy has to say about it:"Jezzy says that her scanner is fueled by praise and gratitude, and that whining makes it short circuit."But, you may be wondering, "what about other updates!?" Well, here's the problem. I'm busy. Solution? I need at least one or two typesetters. What I said before still applies. Since nobody stepped up. So, click on that link, and follow what it says. Right now, I've got like 7 manga chapters just ready and waiting to be typesetted, among other things. So, if I had the time, or more help, then we can have some updates. No timeframe on next update. Post below if you want to be a typesetter, or if you want to say something to Jezzy.

Hey.So, let's get September off to a great start!Or not.Computer died. However, backup was successful. But these things take time. Among other issues. So, everything is still coming. Just, like 2 weeks later than I hoped for. So just keep holding on, things will come (to those who wait)(and I hear it's good things too!)

And Then, Towards September!

Yes! The final Jumbor chapter is released! But we aren't done yet! Nope. There is still TWO more Jumbor releases lined up. Over 30 pages of notes were added in the volume release, and Dit's in the process of translating those. Also, we'll be doing a volume release, which will combine all of our Jumbor releases into a single download, which for you "collectors" should grab, since there will be some changes to older releases in there. I know, I just want them to be perfect. So, besides those Jumbor things, what's next you ask!? Well, here's what coming up in September!- "Exotica," Takei's "latest" oneshot manga! And by latest, I mean, from 2004. Originally reprinted in Volume 27 of the Shaman King manga. I said back then I'd release it, and here it comes! Will also include the afterstory included in Volume 27- "Man.Ji.En Part 3," It's been a while since we've released one of these. And this is a BIG section. Over 30 pages of profiles to finish up the "Asakura" branch of the book.- KZB scans. Yes, they are coming. Yes, we will be putting them up. Maybe even before September.- KZB English scanlations. Yes, but not until I get the message from Dit upon her return. So, later end of September?- "Butsu Zone," Takei's first manga series! Yup, we're going back to the basics, and DOING IT RIGHT! No crummy French/Chinese scans. HQ Japanese release, with over 30 pages of color and three-tone manga pages for Chapter 1. Bi-weekly chapter releases there after (19 chapters long).- Batch Volumes! We'll be combining some of our older Shaman King volumes. Saves space. One download, and you get a bunch of chapters at once! Plus, all files are re-named, in "volume order" with correct page numbers. Also, the "Shaman Character/Item Files" are included.- New Menu layout changes! Menu too long to navigate? Yeah, it is. Working on fixing that. Some things will move around, so watch out. Newer stuff like "Kang Zeng Bang" and "Butsu Zone" will be towards the top to make it easier for you.- Longer news posts! Gasp! If they get longer than this, I might as well start a blog or something! So, that Jumbor banner can finally be retired now. No Jumbor update next weekend. Maybe Sept will get a banner dealing with something about "Over 30." Luchist: "Hao, what does the scanner say about the chapter pages!?"Hao: "It's over 30 PAGES~!"Who knows when Exotica will be out, it's long, like 80 pages. How about KZB will come out before it? Yeah, let's do that order. 1. KZB2. Exotica3. MJE4. KZB(Eng)5. BZ6. ???7. Profit!?

See? We are back on schedule still! Yay! Chapter 10, the final Jumbor chapter will be released next weekend (Maybe Friday?). But this won't be our last Jumbor release. Nope! There is a bunch of extras as well. We will be scanlating those too! But that won't be for a while. Dit's still working on them (all 38 pages!). So, enjoy this "semi-sequel to Shaman King" chapter of Jyuki Ningen Jumbor!(Also, still need typesetters, then, maybe we can have more than one release a week)

Typesetters Wanted!

Seeing as I'm not sure where Fox is, and we've got a bunch of new and exciting projects being worked on by all of our staff, I think it's time for....New Typesetters!Typesetted something before? Great! If not, don't worry.I'm looking for one or two people. I am willing to help out, since, there is a "method" I have, and what not. Everybody's got one, and mine works. And at least, works in a way that's not completely crazy. If you've got your own methods, and it works, great. I'm always learning new things. If not, and you want to learn, then take try the "Mankin Way." What I need from you (as a potential typesetter):- To be able to do 19 pages per week (a standard chapter length)- Need Photoshop 7 or higher- Willingness to get the job done- Be around on IM so things can get done.- Knowledge of Shaman King, and past M-T projects is useful- Willingness to work on non-Takei made projects (or non-Shaman King ones)- Will need to do some basic cleaning on pages (basic leveling, removing Japanese text, .etc)- Willingness to learn how to do more complex cleaning on pages (such as double pages, and re-drawing)- Either an AIM, MSN, YIM client and screen-name.- Willingness to have fun!Sounds fun? Want to jump into the manga scanlation team, but don't want to jump into those "big groups?" Nor feel confident in taking a "scanlation test?" That's good to hear.If you want to join, first, read this: http://www.unblessed.net/guide/main.htmlJust the understand the cleaning, and really understand the typesetting. If you are still interested, and doing those tasks don't seem too rough, then contact me via one of the following:AIM: andysislandsYIM: andysislandsMSN: andysislands[at]hotmail.comIf I'm online, then that's good, IM me. If not, wait until I am. And make mention you want to be a typesetter for Mankin-Trad (unless you have some other question or something, then just ask, I don't bite). This news post will be up for as long as I am looking for typesetters. Thanks!

It's 08/08/08, what chapter should you be reading? I say it should be Chapter 8 of Jyuki Ningen Jumbor! Yeah!As of this posting, we are the only group which released a "Chapter 8" of a manga so far today. We're so clever. Actually, it's a combination of two things. Bad luck, and mad props. Without Fox, we are a bit behind where I was hoping we would be. No biggie, Jumbor 9 and 10 are lined up for the next two weekends anyways. Plus, the mad props go out to Marco Maxwell for getting those lines for translations to get this chapter out today! Yay! Without her, well, this chapter could have been delayed for a while (couple of weeks!?).So, enjoy. Let's just say, keep checking back every weekend, since, I think I got released lined up for the next 6 weeks. Who knows, maybe they might come in even sooner! Just best to check everyday!

Jumbor Chapter 7

Shhh... pretend it's still the weekend.Yeah, so after some delays, here is the chapter. Hope you enjoy it, since I hated typesetting it. I need to spend some more time on it, so there will be a "version 2" within the "batch volume release," at some point. So, if you are "collecting" chapters, do yourself a favor and wait until that one. There will be some changes throughout all the chapters at some point. If you want it perfect, wait for that one. But if you read Chapter 7 now, it will make me happy, even though it's not perfect. So go read it!There is some issues with the translations with Chapter 8. So, can't be certian when this chapter will be ready (since Dit is on break).

Uhh... the latest Jumbor chapter is still in typesetting. When it's done, it will be released. It just so happens, it won't be this weekend. Sorry. But, we do have English Scanlations of the Kang Zeng Bang (reprint) volumes 7-8! Yay! Dit is going on a little break for a while. Which is cool. So, we won't have anymore English scanlations of these for a while. Probably start back up with Volume 9-10, in Sept. No, we aren't stopping, just on hait until Dit comes back to continue translating. If you can translate Japanese -> English, and want to help, e-mail me, and we can work something out.Speaking of Volumes 9-10, Jezzy is working on scanning them. But since there won't be English scanlations, there is no real rush to get them scanned in and rushed over to Dit. So, yes, those will come at some point, just wait.So yeah... I tricked you, when you see images you think "Yes, an update!" but today's was mostly just "please wait." Oh well. A brand new Manta's Bargain Bin tomorrow! Make sure to check that out!

And some of us... (*cough* , *cough*) are a bit high maintenance. So, our local Mankin-Trad staff member, Jezzy, is cleaning out her closet full of treasures from Shaman King, and giving you the option to add them to your collection!Official Japanese Shaman King DVDs:DVD1DVD2DVD4DVD6DVD9Starting bid at only $5 with shipping at $3, these are priced GREATLY lower than the original Japanese price! So, if you wanted to add something a little special to your collection of stuff, and help clean out Jezzy closet, that would be very good! Even I'm tempted to buy them, but I got some other things to buy (Drama CDs, reprint volumes... .etc).
Like 100 releases later...

So, big news. "Fox" joins the team! She'll be helping out with these Jumbor chapters so I can go back to saving the world or something. I'll still be QC-ing, so you aren't out of the woods yet with my witty Credits page remarks. Oh, but there isn't anything really funny in these two. At least, I didn't try.So, I figured we've been releasing things for a while now. We must have hit a milestone by now or something, right? I say sure! But it depends on how you count the numbers. You can consider these chapters right here "Mankin-Trad's 99th and 100th releases!" But what do you count as a "release?" Certainly the SK manga counts. But what about the end of Volume specials? What about Man.Ji.En? And if you count Man.Ji.En, then shouldn't you count the Shaman Files? But would you count the Japanese raws? And then where would place Stan Lee the Book? Then what about the old French releases? And would these re-releases really count as a new release? Then what about the Shaman King volume batch releases?See, that's a mess. Bah. I say it's 99 and 100. Nice numbers, we'll move on from here!Next weekend is the real test to see if I can keep "Summer of Jumbor" on time. Chapter 3 was a real pain with all those double pages, but Chapter 4 gives it a run for it's money. Look forward to it!

Before we jump into 2 more Jumbor chapters, let's have some more Kang Zeng Bang raws! Yup, all Japanese again, but English translations should hopefully come in a little while. But first we need to get scanlations of volumes 5 and 6 out first! Don't worry, they are still being worked on. They'll be coming soon. So, who is Shaman File 99? Who is 100? Who has "O.S. THAT?" Some more discussion about pins? Who are Kyo and Shu?
Jyuki Ningen Jumbor 1 HQ

Click on that image to download the chapter! This time in HQ! Online reading and file download up! 1/10th of my declaration cleared!Total number of hours worked on: 12 hours.Span of days chapter was worked on: 2 days.Yes, that's finally done. Not the exact quality in terms of translations I would have hoped for. So there may be a new version with it's "complete volume release" later in the summer. If you are collecting and keeping these chapters, please wait for the full volume. The best translations are there. And, even though it's a little ways off (like 2 weeks), Dit's translations start with Chapter 5. So, you'll notice a bit different change in the way things are worded, and hopefully for the better!Speaking of which, just because Jumbor is on the weekends, doesn't mean we won't have other updates throughout the week! So it's not Jumbor all the time, other things are in the works.
My Declaration

June 15th, 2008.I, andysislands, on this date of Sunday June 15th, 2008, in the middle of the night, make a declaration right here and now. This statement is needed, and has not been created on the whim. Without further ado, I claim the following; There shall be at least* one new** Jyuki Ningen Jumbor chapter every weekend*** until it's completion****. * there will be at minimum 1 chapter, and probably a max of 2.** this includes HQ remakes (which would be chapters 1-3)*** weekend starting 12:01amEST Friday morning and ending whenever I go to sleep on Sunday night / Monday morning**** the standard chapters 1-10. There will probably be a delay for the Jumbor Extras and/or volume release (which will contain all the volume extras)There. I said it. You know what this site's been missing? Real manga chapters. Now I have declared. Now we'll get some! Oh, yeah, this means it starts now. So, by tomorrow night, at least Jumbor Chapter 1 will be released! Chapters 2 and probably 3 will be ready for next week. But you say chapter 2 is in QC already!? Well, yeah. But you know what? Exotica translations are in. And I proclaimed. Jumbors are on weekends. Unless Chapter 2 is tomorrow night as well.... unlikely. But they're just HQ remakes. So if you are going for collecting... these versions would be better... but wait until the volume release, since those will be even better. But if you haven't read Jumbor yet, start reading with these HQ remakes, which have been proclaimed. Or declared. Or whatever. That's it. It's been done. Come back tomorrow to see me actually get something done!

Coming down the stream...

It's one of those "not an update" updates again! How lovely. So, these normally bring bad news. Or they sort of seem that way. At least I'm trying to not make it feel that way. I would like to keep you updated. Some things just take time, other things, I just don't know when it will get done. There is certain things I would like to release at certain times, but it doesn't always pan out.Anyways, updates! I'll be out of town, flying out to California for the weekend. Won't be back until late Tuesday. Thus no updates during this time. Also, no progress on stuff will be done during this time. But we still got all of this week before then!I really want to re-release Jumbor chapter 1 and 2 this week. I really do. But I'm still waiting on getting Chapter 1. If it doesn't show up before I return on Tuesday next week, I'll have to typeset it myself (which is a waste, since I know a typesetted version is done and ready, but I don't have it yet). So, I'll give it another week to hopefully show up. Either Jumbor chapters 1 & 2 come out this Friday, or Jumbor chapters 1, 2, & 3 come out the following weekend. Either way, weekly chapters start after that. Hopefully two chapters a week, but we'll see.Mankin-Trad's summer video project, has started. It's going to take me a little while to figure out the software and the best, fastest, and easiest way to make the videos. Won't be happening this week. Depending on how Jumbor goes, will say how much time next week I can work on it.Butsu Zone chapters... Chapter 1 is going to be the longest, hardest chapter to scanlate of the whole series. Possibly the largest chapter we'll do, ever. We'll have our best guy on it. I promise. Oh, that's me, by the way. Not that I don't trust other people with Butsu Zone, but, I have alot of passion for the series. So, I won't release it until I know it's perfect. Takei worked really hard on this chapter (since he wasn't sure if he could get another chance like this), so I want to ensure that his passion for his work is still visible for you as well. The new KZB volumes, 7 and 8, won't be released until the 4th. So, it will be a while before we'll get scans of those. If you want to check out the covers, make sure you check out the only current active and best Shaman King/Hiroyuki Takei news portal, Shaman King Nation! So, what's being released this week? Well, right now, at least 1 thing. And that is, partial scanlations of "Stan Lee the Book." It won't be all the pages, just the important (Takei-related) pages. The download will contain both the original Japanese scans as well as the English Mankin-Trad scanlation. This should be ready in a day or two, once I finish up the last page. Some other things that are "coming soon" are these:Shaman King Style Guide (English)Episode 29 script (Japanese)I'll probably re-scan that script again. AS you can tell the page color doesn't match. And I think you'd rather have some more HQ images, right? As for the Style Guide, it won't be a "complete" scan. Several pages in the beginning will be removed before release. The reasoning behind this, is because some of them could still be "legally sensitive." I kept the little side information up, so you can see that the pages will be very large, and in HQ. And like things that are in HQ, we won't have Online Viewing for them. So, you've been warned. Also, the Style Guide may be broken up into parts for easy downloading (it's less than 70 pages, in full color)But both of those still need some reformatting, and other things before being released. So both of those will be out at some point. This is just a little bit of a teaser before it comes out in it's full glory. Not to say this is everything we are doing. No, far from it. But as you probably noticed, this news post is already quite long. Why make it longer? Just look forward to our upcoming "Stan Lee the Book" partial scanlation!

The Last Words Issue 3

I'm sure you're all enjoying reading the raw extra scans from Volume 5 and 6. That's good to hear. If you aren't, or "can't," you need to download and install either WinRAR or 7zip to extract the files. A quick google search will get you the results as you need them.Read Takei's Last Words here (before the combined release!):Takei's Last Words 3rd IssueLet's see, some other updates. Some of you may be wondering when the "batch releases" of the Shaman King volumes will be. Well, that answer is simple. When we move over to the new website layout, all the SK chapters will be batched in the same manner as Volume 24-26. We should also have the Exotica oneshot chapter and special ready at that time as well. Our next update will be the Takei/Lee interview. Yeah, that's been pushed back a while, but it will finally get a release. The release manner will be similar to these "Last Word" preview releases, I think. Maybe I'll make it an official release. Maybe. We'll see when I get there.Hopefully our weekly Jumbor releases will start next week. Yeah, real chapters again! But we'll be starting back at chapter 1 again (but this time in HQ!). Chapters 1 and 2 will be released together, and chapter 3 sometime after that, followed by weekly releases there after. Some other "non-chapter/non-KZB" releases are being worked out. Continuing our raw releases, I'll be releasing a little something I scanned together from what I personally own. Plus there was that "other thing" I mentioned, hinted at, and other things from a while back. Yeah, that will be coming as well. Plus I'll be working on the "fansubs" from the "What ifs" as well.Ah. That's alot of stuff. See, who needs Shaman King manga chapters?

KZB5-6 raw released!

Hey, look! We are catching up to where we are suppose to be! All that's next is to get translations for these! Yay! And if you sneak a peek at this, you'll notice that on two of those pages in Volume 6, Takei goes a bit crazy. So, trust me, I'm looking forward to these translations as much as you are!So, what's coming up in our next release? How about scanlations for this Last Words? Takei loosens up in this one, and it's a nice change of pace. And again, not another 35 days. Should be up on or before Wed.After this, well, it will be the Takei/Lee interview! That one is a pain to clean, so I might do a sloppy job on it, just to get it done. Oh well.Oh, and M-T will be getting a website redesign at some point. Maybe in 2 weeks? It's whenever Kami-sama gets to it. But, it will look good. Like all of Kami's designs do!

After 35 days, Mankin-Trad finally has an update! Yes, this is the update you've been waiting for! It's over a month late, but whatever, now you can find out what Pilica's spirit is! All the Shaman Files are translated for your enjoyment! So, what's coming up? Let's discuss!Exotica, the car racing oneshot manga from Takei (found in Volume 27) will be coming out next month.Volumes 5-6 raw (Japanese only), will be coming out soon.Last Word Issue 3, will be coming out soon.Takei/Lee interview (2 pages), will be coming out soon as well.Jumbor chapters 1-2 is still in process, but I expect a release next week!Something "special" will be started early next week, maybe a release next week. And a follow-up with the last news post, we will be doing "What if" videos. Maybe next week release, if not week after. But I'm aiming for weekly releases (of 1 or 2 videos). So, more updates coming soon, but which ones... only time will tell (but not another 35 days).

Swamped, and returning soon!

Hey, it's one of "those" news posts again. That one where we say we aren't dead. It's true. We aren't dead. More like Zombie-like state. New Kang Zeng Bang volumes were released a few days ago(Go buy them!). We'll have scans in, maybe in a week or two. Volume 3-4 extras are still being worked on. And by worked on, I mean on my to-do list. Haven't gotten to it yet. Other things keep coming up. This week is murder. Last week was murder. Next week, hopefully easier, but I doubt it. The week after? Toss up. Probably bad. After that? Hopefully a whole lot easier. So, yeah, Mankin-Trad (and Shaman King Nation), will be back up an running at full swing in 3 weeks or less! Doesn't mean that we won't have updates before then. But, maybe not so much on the Jyuki Ningen Jumbor end (mostly KZB updates). Plus, any and all staff should check in with me ASAP, so I know what's going on, I've been really sloppy on keeping up (and replying to e-mails too). So, please look forward to it! (And don't complain too much!)Also, a possible "summer project" would be fansubbing these videos:"What If" Yoh became Shaman King (with most of the cast)Story Mode cutscenes from Shaman King: Funbari Spirits(PS2) (Good and Bad endings)Optionally, cutscenes from Shaman King: Soul Fight (GCN):(No video yet)Please vote if you support one or more of these ideas. I'll have to talk to Kami-sama about hosting (such as online streaming versus direct download), but I think we can work something out.

The Final SK chapter! (For now)

Here it is. The last chapter of Shaman King chapter for now. After this, you have caught up with all the chapters released in Japan up to this point. But, this isn't the end, we've got a bunch of new releases lined up! Our first thing...Jyuki Ningen Jumbor!Chapters 1 and 2 have already been sent out to our new typesetters. You'll be introduced once those chapters have been released. Our goal is going to be two chapters a week. We might not have a release next weekend though. Read the first comment post in this news topic to know where I'll be and why there may not be a release.Exotica and Itako No Anna are currently in translation phase right now, so not really sure when they'll be released.Dit is working on lots of things. True, we won't be working on Ultimo scanlations (in English at least), but that doesn't mean we won't be working on other things! There is an interview of Takei asking questions to Stan Lee, which Dit is working on. Plus, there is Volumes 3 and 4 of the Shaman Files to be worked on. And maybe another Smash Bomber chapter as well, we know how much you enjoy those!Alessa, is going to be taking a break for a little while, but before she does, she's going to work on our next big project, Butsu Zone. We'll be starting with Chapter 1, complete with color pages and 30 pages of original 3-tone color from the Weekly Shonen Jump issue! This is going to be a big project, so don't expect it to start until late May. So, once Jumbor chapters start coming out, Exotica and InA are out, we'll be doing the translator shuffle to get some more Man.Ji.En and Fanbook scanlations out. We hope to be releasing weekly updates for this as well. But nothing has been assigned yet, but it's on the plan.We aren't dead yet, there is still alot more to do. Maybe a site redesign will appear soon. There is a bunch more in the Takei universe you still haven't seen yet, and we are here, ready and willing to show it to you. So let's move on!

Chapter 284!

Yes! It's finally here! The first ending of the Shaman King manga! This is the chapter that has been talked about, parodied, referenced, and so much more over these last 3 years! We've done it and caught up, almost! The final chapter of the current print of the Shaman King manga, Chapter 285, will be uploaded this weekend!Takei added one more chapter to the end of the manga, which can only be found in Volume 32 of the manga. We will scanlate this chapter, and it will be out this weekend. Once this is done, we've caught up with the series in Japan. No, there is no set date for the new chapters to be released in Japan. But, if you keep checking Shaman King Nation, we'll post the news as soon as we can. Also, even though we are Mankin-Trad, we aren't dead yet. Oh no. We've got a bunch of things lined up. Actually we could be doing more releases now than ever before! Return of double releases a week? It's possible. More Takei related manga, oh yes.So, check back later this weekend for the final Shaman King chapter!

That's only Japanese language. English scanlations will be coming when Dit is finished with all of them.Speaking of scanlations, we do have something in English...Takei's Last Word 2nd IssueChapters 284 and 285 this weekend (with a split release, most likely, or at least what I'm hoping for).Get ready for this...

Half is still good right? Yeah, I was hoping for two more things to add to this news update. But I guess 2 English scanlations should be good enough, right? I'd hope so. So, yes, chapter 283 is released! And English scanlations of the Volume 1-2 reprint extras have also been released. There is no online reading for the Reprint extras, since it's all too Hi-res!So, expect a mid-week update with the rest of what wasn't released today(Japanese RAWs of KZB reprint 3-4, and English scans of Last Word, LW might be added to the forum before being updated on website). If not, it should be added onto this upcoming weekend's release, which is the first and second end of the Shaman King manga! Yeah, that's right! Double manga release, this weekend! Chapter 284 and 285! Both, this weekend! The time has come! Get ready....

282 and LOTS more!

First thing's first! Shaman King chapter 282 is released! Once your done, or even before you read it, make sure you come back and read the rest of this news post. It's long but it covers alot of important things! Next, we'll do these two releases. One of these is an older release, the other is brand new! So if you haven't read them, do it now! Here my thoughts! Maybe they mean nothing, maybe they mean the world! Maybe you'll learn something new. Who knows!Let's see.. what's next. How about time frames for future releases!?This upcoming weekend: Shaman King Chapter 283!The following weekend (Weekend of the 18th): Shaman King Chapters 284 & 285The weekend after that: Nothing! (Unless, something good happens... aka, keep reading)So, yes, we'll finish up the current run of the Shaman King manga in the next two weeks! Once we've finished it though, EveTenshi is going to take a bit of a break. This leaves us with one typesetter, me. That would be great and all, but over the last few weeks, our translator staff has expanded greatly. You haven't even seen half of them yet! 4 translators to 1 typesetter means, slow releases. So, Mankin-Trad has some new "job" openings! Here's the job titles followed by their descriptions followed by even more news.- Japanese -> English Translator- Italian -> English Translator- Kang Zeng Bang Purchaser and Scanner- Typesetter- 3-tone manga cleanerJapanese -> English Translator: Very simply, you translate from Japanese to English. Projects can range, but right now, looks like Man.Ji.En/Fanbook but could be expanded into new M-T projects. RAWs will be provided.Italian -> English Translator: This job would require translating from Italian into English. The project would only Man.Ji.En/Fanbook translations. You need to own the volumes, no RAWs will be provided. Kang Zeng Bang Purchaser and Scanner: We need somebody to purchase the new reprint volumes every month and scan in the extras from it. You don't need to "splice" the binding, since most extras are in the front of the books, so binding blur isn't much of an issue. You need to purchase them every month, and have a decent scanner. Looking for 1 or 2 people.Typesetter: The job requires that you take the RAWs, clean them (remove the Japanese text, .etc), and add in the English translations. This also requires you to do some redrawing if the Japanese text overlays the artwork. Experience is recommended. Expect to do at least 20 pages a week. Projects will include Takei-based mangas (BZ, Jumbor, SB), Man.Ji.En/Fanbook, and other things. Most likely not Shaman King manga chapters. Looking for 2 people, willing to train, if you already have alot of photoshop skills in place.3-tone manga cleaner: We have about 30 pages of the Butsu Zone manga which is done in 3 tone (White, Black, and Orange). We need somebody experienced to help us clean these pages. You will be tested. You can be the same person as a typesetter (and would be better). The 2 biggest jobs we need right now are typesetter and KZB purchaser. Without a typesetter, we are looking at maybe 1 chapter a week. With 2 more people on our team, we can be looking at 3 releases a week. Translations are coming in faster than they are going out, so, we need help. If you want to apply for one of these positions, or want to find out more, IM/PM/e-mail me (andysislands) and my contact info can be found here: http://www.mankin-trad.net/forums/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2(Please make it clear that you are looking into one of these positions. No, you won't be paid, this is work out of the goodness of your heart)First, we'll say what Mankin-Trad's next new project will be...Jyuki Ningen Jumbor!Wait, what!? I thought the first 3 chapters were already out? Yes. But, we're doing it again! We've got HQ volume raws, a backlog of translations, and no typesetters! *hint-hint* Anyways, once SK is complete, we're going to move right into Jumbor. And get those 10 chapters out of the way. After that's done, we'll move backwards to Butsu Zone (where we need a 3-tone cleaner for the first chapter). Now with all that good news done and out of the way, we've got to annouce Mankin-Trad's first dropped project! Shaman King! Erm, I mean, Ultimo! That's right, we aren't scanlating it! Why? Since Viz is making an effort to bring it to the USA in a timely manner. For that reason, we are respecting their rights, and letting them do so! Please go to Shaman King Nation for more Ultimo news! ( http://shamanking-nation.com ).With my final comment in this long news post, the website is having some issues. Besides all the down time, the layout no longer meets the needs of the website. It takes too long to get to the new chapters. You have to scroll down the page so far just to find anything. Plus it hasn't changed (much) in 2 years. So, it's time for a redesign! Kami-sama (our co-admin), is planning on basing the new Mankin-Trad design on his latest layout: http://thegreatspirit.net/ . Please visit the website, and browse through the layout structure. Thoughts? We'll be making some changes to exactly how it will be laid out, but we would like your input. So, please post a comment in this topic on suggestions would you like to see if we moved towards that layout design (all M-T features, such as online reading and direct downloads, will remain active). Thanks for reading!

Smash Bomber! No Joke!

Welcome April! We've got alot of things to do, and not alot of time! Only about a month! So many releases to come out, I just don't know how many, but I sure think it's alot! So, let's start this off right! With Smash Bomber Chapter 1!That's right! A new series we're scanlating right here at Mankin-Trad! Yes, it's a series Takei has worked on! After Shaman King was canceled, Smash Bomber was the series he supervised before creating "Jyuki Ningen Jumbor." Hmm... I wonder what's the next series Mankin-Trad will focus on (after we finish Shaman king's original print)....UPDATE: Bah! In such a rush to upload this, I forgot 3 things! 1. Forgot to add the credits page! Now it's in there! So, if you haven't downloaded it yet, the page is now there!2. Translations are by Dit! Yeah! He's the new girl! This actually falls under his 11th or 12th (maybe more? Depends what you count) translations for Mankin-Trad! You haven't heard of her!? Oh... you will, most of April releases have come from her, so enjoy! How many female translators does this put us at? How about all!3. The Raw provider for this chapter was "MadHatter!" Who? He's been around over at

SK281 & KZB1-2 raw

A double update!? Both are Shaman King releases!? Only one of them is in English!? Well, I guess one English release is better than none! First, let's talk about the easy one. Chapter 281 is out! You know the drill! Ok, that was easy! Now, let's talk about this other one... This is a collection of scans from the Japanese Kang Zeng Bang Volumes 1-2 of Shaman King. These are the reprint volumes. I have only scanned in the extras that are new with some other things as well. These AREN'T complete scans of the books. It's only the extras. And these aren't scanlations. These contain all the original Japanese, it's not in English! Dit is working on the English translations right now, and we'll have scanlations of the important Japanese text sometime in early April.Oh, April!~ So many releases. If my numbers of prediction are correct... about 9 or 10 releases in April. Some hints about what these releases will be, check Chapter 281's credits page. So, this is about it for March. See you in April for lots of updates!

Shaman King Chapter 280

I think the website is back up now. In case you haven't noticed, the website has been hit or miss lately. Right now, it's up. So, that means, yup, a new SK chapter! We are still running a bit behind in terms of where we want to be for chapters, so give us some time to try to get to where we want to be. Chapter 281 should be out this weekend, assuming things don't go too bad. But there is some issues with redrawing and such, hopefully EveTenshi can work his magic! Also, you'll notice the song sounds familiar. And it should. I'll be re-uploading Funbari No Uta 5 with these improved translations. No real need to redownload the chapter, since it's basically the same, and just remember to reference chapter 280 in the future!Other things are still coming. If I can get some free time later this week, then good things will happen. If not, then it will be some more slow updates. But heck, at least we got a new SK chapter out! Also, forums are having some "style" issues. Again, that falls into "I need some time." And with that time, also comes new Shaman King Nation updates, like the new one posted right now (aka: new Stan Lee manga info!!!!)!

Forum & Last Word

Hello! It's one of those, it's "sort of an update" things! First of all, I would like to comment that we do have a forum. Yes, a little dead right now, but hasn't SK kinda been for the last year or so anyways? Well, I'm putting a bit of life back into the forum. So the first thing I did is rename a section to "Rebirth of Shaman King." It's a section which is just targeted at all the new stuff. You know, the reprints, new chapters, Stan Lee, .etc. Now sometimes, we scans of stuff a bit earlier than expected. So, rather than wait for a release, I figure we might as well give it out to the fans as fast as possible. You've waited this long, why wait any more! So the first thing we got ready for you is 3 out of 4 pages of Takei's "Last Word." This is an insert in Volume 1 of the manga.Click here to go to the forum and view the "Last Word scans! Now, will Mankin-Trad do an official "reprint volume 1" release? Most likely. But, we aren't doing the chapters. What we will do, is provide the extras, so you know what you are missing. Stuff like "Last Word," the new "Shaman File," HQ scans of the covers, .etc. Some of this may or may not be translated. But, before this appears on the main Mankin-Trad website (right here), I may put some of the more interesting things up in the forum. So, I'd advise you also put the forum on your watch list for updates. And, of course, Shaman King Nation will have a complete review of both volumes next week (with scans), and an article showing some of the changes in the manga reprints, right now!Chapter 278 has a planned release for tomorrow night. This is assuming EveTenshi hands me his copy before 9:00pm, and I plan to release it before 11:00pm.

March 4th Special!

Let's first start with what you all know, love, and enjoy, new Shaman King chapters! Today, we have 2 new ones! Yup, another double helping. These are actually some good chapters, the first half of the 2nd chapter could have been better, but there's been worse. And, we aren't stopping here. Yup, we'll have another new chapter lined up for this weekend as well! Let's see... next we'll move onto.... Mankin-Trad's first completed mini-series! That's right! Funbari No Uta chapter 5 has been released! If you haven't read it yet, this chapter is really going to throw you for a loop! It asks so many more questions than answers! And those questions might have never been answered, unless it was for....Those Shaman King reprint volumes have finally been released in Japan! Yay! Now, you might be thinking, "that's great and all, but how can I get them?" Well, the good people over at Shaman King Nation have put together a great little helper guide for you! It's called Guide to Importing the Reprint Volumes! Now you're right on your way to supporting the Shaman King series! Thanks. Who knows, maybe you'll get your volumes before I do! (and that would be very helpful for me, since I've got questions)And while we're talking about Shaman King Nation, there's been some serious updates lately. Maybe a guy called Stan Lee is kind of important. Maybe you heard about him. Maybe you heard he's doing a manga special with Hiroyuki Takei. Well, we've know since Feburary 29th. Maybe you should catch yourself up with all the latest Shaman King news! Go check out Shaman King Nation now! (Also, the news feed at the top of this page pulls it's news right from SKN, thanks to Kami-sama for that! You know, that guy who got you these great download speeds!)Oh, it seems that the March 4th Marathon continues! Let's see, what else do we have? How about Volumes 25 and 26! Now, if you have already read these chapters, you don't need to download these files. Actually, we prefer if you didn't. It will save us bandwidth. If this is your first time to the website, welcome! We have these 2 great batch files, which combine all the chapters from these volumes into one nice download! It also saves us room on the menu on the left. If you haven't noticed, it's starting to get a bit clogged up. We'll move all of our chapters into batch files at some point. This is just a starting point. More combined volumes coming in the future. Online Reading for all the chapters are still up, so no worries there. Now, let's see, what should be next.... How about Jyuki Ningen Jumbor Chapter 1 again! Then again, maybe not. We've got alot of great releases already for you, maybe we can hold this one for a little while? I just ran out of time, so I couldn't complete this for you all. I will do this in the future, but for right now, it didn't happen. Sorry, for those who were looking forward to this. But to make up for it, I'll have a "not release!"What's a "not release?" A "not release" is when we don't release anything. I know you're saying, "You don't release things all the time! You're so slow, but we love you so!" Or something like that. I hope. Maybe. Anyways.... We're uploading (not releasing), these two little specials... These were both originally released by Manga-Rain. Mankin-Trad is just hosting these files (with permission, from both Mad-Hatter, and Shaza (Pandora_C)). Now, let's just make this clear, once and for all. Mankin-Trad WILL NOT host other Shaman King chapters or any other manga, that was not, at least in part created by Mankin-Trad. So, no we won't host Volume 22, or Volume 19, or Volume 1, or Volume 123. This is a scanlation site for Mankin-Trad releases. Anyways, now that's out... Why are we hosting these files? First of all, this is the "correct time" to be reading them. By correct, I mean, that by reading them now, they contain no spoilers, since Takei wrote and released both of these specials around this time (as in before Chapter 276). So, if you haven't read them, then you are losing a bit of what everything in the SK universe means. Next, there was no real reason for us to make our own version. Why translate something for a second time? Manga-Rain did a perfect job, no reason for us to do it again. We're all against doing repeat work. So, I hope this will be a good March 4th for everybody. We've had alot of translators work on these releases today. Alessa, ReD, Yuya, and the Manga-Rain team, that's four different translators. Of course we wouldn't be here without them, so it's really a team effort. I just make the funny, and post the news, and typeset, and work on SKN, and do the research for SKN, and compile the manga chapters, and such. But, no, really it's a team effort. If you go check out our Staff page, you'll see all the great team members who have worked with us over this last year or so. Well, I think that's about it for now, at least on M-T (the news never sleeps over at SKN, like we have a brand new editorial coming up, called "The History of Shaman King, Part 2"), swing by this upcoming weekend for a brand new Shaman King chapter, and maybe a surprise. And the next weekend, it's one of our translator's birthdays... You know what that means? Double chapter release!? Her gift to you is our gift to her, maybe.Update: Online reading now up for the Manga-Rain specials. Chapter 233 has been corrected in both online reading and Volume 26 batch.

Chapter 275 and Vol31 Special

The end of Volume 31 is finally here! Counting down the days to March 4th yet!? If not, you should! I mean there is so much to look forward to! First, the Volume reprints in Japan begin with Volumes 1 and 2 (which will cover Volumes 1, 2, and 3, from the original count)! Then you got Volume 15 of Shaman King being released by Viz in the USA! Next up is Volumes 9 & 10 of the Shaman King manga in English being released in England (same as Viz release, I believe). And just to top it all off, Mankin-Trad is going to have a nice big blow-out celebration of releases all lined up for that day! At least 2 new Shaman King chapters, the final Funbari No Uta chapter, and some batch volume releases of old Mankin-Trad releases, plus more! Who knows what else I'll pull out! But it's going to be a big day. Lots of new stuff! So, to build up to this great day, there won't be another major update on Mankin-Trad until that day. Sorry. But, that doesn't mean that I'll be doing nothing. You should swing by our other site, Shaman King Nation. Why? Oh, I don't know, maybe since we have updates over there too. Like reprint volume 2 cover, and other fun stuff. A new (and first) Editorial will be put up next week, plus all the news stories as soon as they come out of Japan. Finally, we are testing out a new download server for chapter 275 right now. Please download the file once, and give a comment in this news post only on the following info:- Your average download speed- Time to download the file- Your country you are downloading from- How awesome Kami is for setting this up (Ok, this one is optional, but you know it's true)Thanks for visiting, and we'll see you back on March 4th!

Status on Upcoming Chapters

Oh no. When I say status of upcoming chapters, it's normally a bad thing. Since, if it's worthy of a news post, then it probably means that things are going to be coming out slower than expected (as in, the normal average of one new chapter each week). But instead of bad news, I have good news! And if you read the Credits Page for chapter 271, some of this won't be a surprise.Chapter 272:Status: Awaiting compiliationExpected Release: 2/15/08Chapter 273:Status: in QCExpected Release: 2/15/08Chapter 274:Status: in QC (andysislands)Expected Release: 2/17/08Chapter 275:Status: awaiting in typesetting queueExpected Release: 2/24/08Volume 31 Special:Status: awaiting in typesetting queueExpected Release: 2/24/08Chapter 276, 277, Funbari No Uta 5, Jyuki Ningen Jumbor 1 (HQ) (and maybe more!)Status: awaiting in typesetting queueExpected Release: 3/04/08So, yes, Volume 31 will be finished before the end of the month! Then on March 4th, we should have yet another big chapter blowout! The "maybe more," could be more SK chapters (if so, then there may be another release between 3/24 and 4/03, so the wait won't be as long), or it could be some more Jyuki Ningen Jumbor chapters (but should be at least chapter 1 in HQ, direct from the volume release!), or it could be something else! Wait and see! (Or wait and look at what translations get done)By no means are these solid release dates, but they should give you a decent estimate on when I believe chapters should be released. They could be a little earlier, they could be a little later, but they'll all come out. Well, the "good thing" is that there won't be a new SK in Japanese in March, so we still got some time to catch up. That's about it for now! Come check back on Friday for a double chapter release!

Here's the latest Shaman King Chapter by Mankin-Trad! The direct download is working, however the online reading link does not. Right now we are in the process of moving to a new Online Reading script. So, instead, try our beta read online :Click here to read Chapter 271 online now! Also, it's been a few news posts, so make sure you also go to Shaman King Nation! There has been a couple of news posts! Trust me, it's important, since the credits page won't make much sense unless you go to SKN first! Also there's news about "Sweet Heaven" and Volume 14! Plus, some more news posts coming later this week (need some time to work on some confirmation for those news stories)! Also, reading that credits page in chapter 271 is important, since it lists the release times for the next 2 chapters!Edit : Online Reading engine is now fully functional. New Features :- Preload of the next image, so when you're finished reading a page, next page is already downloaded.- And a more faster engine !We'll wait until all the old scan are moved to the new engine to put the new links in the download pages. Until then, click the link on the news to go there. (our actual template doesn't permit to have two engine at the same time).

The Read Online engine V.3 is online. It's still a beta version and only the last chapter (270) is readable with this version.Test it now !In the changelog : - New template (or no more template)- chapter number, title and page in the page's title (= browser title)- Move to this server which is more faster- All pages are cached, so our server doesn't have to create the page for each page request- New URL => /read/chapter-270/ (it's more friendly isn't it ?)- A new navigation style : just click on the left side of the page to go back and the right side to go to next page. It's currently a beta version because we're testing if it's accessible, easy to use etc ...I'm working on little script to preload the next image, so when you finished reading a page, the next page is already in your cache, and the page load instantaneously. We'd also want to know if you prefer that the new navigation stay as is (all the page is a link) or to pout the link outside of the image. We are waiting for your comments and request to make it better.

I've been working non-stop for the last 3 hours. And here's the fruit of my work; Shaman King Chapter 268! You want more!? Good! Chapter 269 is already underway! Since there won't be any new SK chapters next weekend, my goal is to get at least 1, if not 2 done before then. Wish me luck! But, the Mankin-Trad team is still hard at work! We are proud to announce the launch of out new website, Shaman King Nation Shaman King Nation or "SKN" is a news portal website. So it just covers the news. When new images of Kang Zeng Bang volumes are released, SKN will have them. When leaked spoiler images of the new SK chapters are out, we'll cover it! When you forget when a new SK manga volume is released in the USA, we'll remind you (and give you details about the volume!)! Plus, if you don't speak English, we also translate our news into French and plan to add other languages as well (primary will still be English). So, come check out our new website! We won't be reporting our new SK news on this site anymore; only scanlation information will remain on this site. So go check it out, and check it often, since we will cover the info as soon as we find it!Click here to go to www.shamanking-nation.com

Man.Ji.En Part 2

With a little over a week since the last update, here is Man.Ji.En part 2! For those who don't remember, the Man.Ji.En is the Shaman King Character Book. Today we have a few more pages for it! Yay! If you didn't read the first part, I'd advise you start there. Also, online reading is now on for that part. Now the question you are really asking is this."When's the next Shaman King chapter coming out!? I don't care about these other things that are interesting and relate to Shaman King but I'll complain about them anyways!"The short answer is this.Only new Shaman King chapters will be released until March.Everything else is not being typesetted. There only 4 slight errors with that statement, which follow:- Funbari No Uta Chapter 5 will be released in early Feb.- I may finally get around to a couple of batch (combined) volume releases.- There will probably be a joint group release before then.- We got a Volume 31 special to release as well.So that's the plan. A very bold statement which is lined with lies. But now you know what to expect. Once we catch up to Shaman King in Japan, then we will go back and work on those other loose ends. This means we will probably have 1 new Butsu Zone or Jyuki Ningen Jumbor scanlation in March (starting with the Exotica oneshot). Since Shaman King chapters will be monthly, we'll have some more free time. Who knows, maybe we'll pick up some new projects, but we'll worry about that in.... uuhh.... April? May?

Shaman King Chapter 267

A bit later than expected, but it's here now. Which I believe is Mankin-Trad's first "2nd release!" You may be asking "Well, why couldn't I download the first release!?" Well, you could have, if it was about 4 years ago. Now here's the explanation:Mankin-Trad started sometime in 2004 by a group of people. Kamisama, BadS, and Nux. Originally Mankin-Trad started off as a side site to The Great Spirit, which contained French scanlations of Shaman King. BadS and the rest of the Mankin-Trad team, of course, at that time made French manga scanlations. But! BadS, with his amazing powers of forward thinking, decided to scanlate Chapter 267 into English (mostly). That was back in 2004. Where was SK scanlations in English at that time? Around Volumes 13-14. Heck, I think that's when Shaza joined Manga-Rain. It's been so long ago, BadS doesn't even have the original file anymore. As Kana wished, we removed all our French Scanlations of our Shaman King chapters. But, I as the always faithful, and seemed to be around since the beginning of time Shaman King Fan, I grabbed the chapter before it was removed. So about 152 manga chapters and 4 years, and here we are! BadS is still around, I'm here, and Shaman King Chapter 267 is released, again! Translation was by Alessa for this version, so there is some differences, but the "new" version has better English and better translations, so please click on the cover image in this news post to download or read the chapter online!Man.Ji.En Part 2 still in the works (I've been saying this for a while now).

Website updates

If you visit Mankin-Trad more than once a day, within a few days you should notice we don't update that often. Is this some kind of hint that Mankin-Trad will have hourly Shaman King releases!? Ummm... No, and never. But if you were around earlier today, we held a quick, poll. Votes have been noted and a choice has been picked. The votes were there just to confirm my thoughts, since I know how to pick a name. If you have no clue what I'm talking about, then you are a decent person who only visits this website once a day. Thanks for your support! So, going back to the "you have no clue thing," yeah, once we get things set up, you'll know. Trust me, you'll know. Banners, posters, parades, ads, door-to-door salesman, planes flying with messages, creepy letters in your locker, that strange rash on your left hand, that sticky note on that guy who always sits closest to the door and is always the first to leave the room just because he knows that if he isn't somebody might actually kick him if he doesn't run but damn he can run fast when he has to but doesn't join the track team since the #7 just doesn't hold the same impact as "kick me" does, and so many other ways we'll let you know that you have cancer we got something new. It's not huge to us, since we've been doing it for a while, but it's just making it easier for you. It's like putting the Iron Maiden on a handcart instead of having her jump up and down inside of it to move it.Also, not related to the other thing, we have a working RSS feed now! I think we had one before, but here's one that works! Maybe. I don't use them, so who knows. It still might be having some issues. Maybe. Subscribe Now !Other updates. A few minor layout changes on the main page. Nothing huge. Comments section is now on the pages instead of in a popup window. A few other changes since we updated our news content system. It's been a year, so Kami updated it. Send thanks to Kami-sama, one of our admins, he knows what he's doing, I just try to bring the jokes content. Hey, at least I'm not doing really bad word puns, yet. Give me time, I will master that gag wind. Ever find it funny when you are in a shaft you always find wind? Ok, I'll shut up now.Man.Ji.En Part 2 is still in the works. Chapter 267 will probably come out before that, since it's now in QC. Might as well get that out of the way first. But since Chapter 268 is still in translations, who knows when that will come out. Also, there is a really interesting story about Chapter 267. It's the new year and all, and it really shows my age. I've been a Shaman King fan way to long. Maybe some of you have been longer, but, we'll see. A story, a scanlation, and a lesson you will never forget, in this heart breaking manga chapter, Shaman King, Chapter 267, coming to Mankin-Trad, January 4th, 2008.

Shaman King Chapter 266 & Special

What!? Another double release! Madness! It's like andysislands just sits down and gets things done! Well, that's not true. Evetenshi sits down and gets things done, I just bridge the gap. And now that there is a bridge, we get grass that's greener on the other side. That side is here. And here, we have 2 new SK releases! Chapter 266, the final chapter of Volume 30 and the 11 page special that follows after it. It's like andysislands cares or something. Well, this is the final releases for Mankin-Trad this year. But, I can tell you what's on the list for 2008!- (at least) Weekly Shaman King chapters (Chapter 267, next weekend)- More Man.Ji.En (Part 2, later this week)- Jyuki Ningen Jumbor chapters (Unsure release timeframe, in process)- Butsu Zone in HQ (Unsure release timeframe, probably in March)- Exotica One shot (Unsure, yes, we will go back and do it, it's in Volume 27, probably before BZ)- Shaman King Kang Zeng Bang scans (Give you an idea on what you are missing, late-March)- New Shaman King chapters, monthly (starting in March, don't worry, we'll finish up all 32 manga volumes before then)- Special un-announced project 1 (Not announced, no release plan yet)- Special Joint un-announced project 2 (If you have read the credits page in this manga, you'll see me there, that's the project, but if you don't read it, good luck guessing. It will be Volume 1 in HQ, even though I only worked on the last 2 or 3 released chapters)Am I missing something? Yeah, "Smash Bomber." If you say "what's that!?" If BadS answers, he'll tell you "It's not worth the time to even consider it." But then again, he says the same thing about Exotica. If you ask me, I'll say it's "The biggest editorial flop, that led to the "success" of "Ral Grad." But then again, I also say that "Bleach is the primary cause of the decline of Shaman King." But hell, what do I know, right? I've just been following Shaman King for the last... uhh... 6 or 7 years now. Silly me. Anyways, Smash Bomber is so far back on the list, it's not even funny. Who knows, it might even be a joke release, watch out April Fools! (Make note of this, I've been making sick April Fools jokes for years, I always get a bunch of people, it's because I plan months in advance.)So, thanks for your support in 2007, and we'll be going strong, as shown above, right through 2008 with a bunch of releases, most of which will be weekly! Yay us!

Double releases today! Only half done by me! What!? New Mankin-Trad team member!? Madness! Does this mean that Mankin-Trad will be releasing 2 new SK chapters a week now!? No. But, there is only 2 more months before the new SK chapters come out. And we do need to cover 2 manga volumes. Hmmm... Plus there are 2 more SK related releases lined up before the end of the year. Volume 30 special and Man.Ji.En Part 2. So yeah, don't count Mankin-Trad out of the water yet!Online Reading for these chapters is now online.
Shaman King: Kang Zeng Bang

Continueing Mankin-Trad's news coverage of Shaman King's return in Japan, we have some new info, and proof!Shaman King will return in Japan, March 2008.These will be reprint volumes, with a catch. Actually, it's both reprints and new chapters. Never before has a series recieved new chapters in a reprint release. Takei has busted out all the stuff! (and has done what we at Mankin-Trad had predicted, and have known for months)Plus we have an image which contains Yoh and Anna, which are new drawings! Maybe it will give us a taste of what's to come! Go to the forum to check it out: http://www.mankin-trad.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=33639#33639(New content and translations added the the forum topic, check it out!)Because I'm spearheading this news story, I haven't had much time to work on Shaman King chapters 264 and 265. So please wait a little longer for those. But I can confirm, we will have all of Shaman King scanlated released thus far, before the new chapters are released!

263 released and SK returns!

Before we get to that banner image, uhh, let's start with that Shaman King chapter 263 is now out. It's been a while, but now it's out. Can't say when the next chapter will be out, but, it will be out sooner than that one was. I'll say "within a week," you know to keep you guessing. But basically, I'm aiming for an average of "1 new SK chapter a week for the rest of the month." Or in other words, we should have volume 30 finished before the end of the year. Then, to start the year off right, we will have a new section of the Man.Ji.En scanlated too! So that will be released around Jan. 1st. Oh, and the Volume 30 special pages will be released somewhere in there too.So, now back to the news that will matter to you in 2008. Takei has stated it a couple of times, but now we have it in writing. Takei will have a manga in JumpSQ which will conclude Shaman King. For all that info go to the forum:http://www.mankin-trad.net/forums/viewforum.php?f=40Also, you may have noticed that there is a picture of Takei in that banner. It just screams "caption contest" right there. So, a thread will be created in the forum shortly for that. So think about it, if there are some good ones, they might appear in future SK credits pages! Images and details coming soon, but here's one I made: So yeah, Mankin-Trad is still here, and we are putting the "Sha" back in "Shaman King!"

Chapter 262

After some delay, here's the news post for chapter 262. Hopefully you haven't waited for this news post before getting the chapter. Since it's been out for a while...In other news, our main translator is going to be on break for a few weeks coming up. So, SK chapters are going to be scarce. Not gone, just less. Like 1 chapter every 2 weeks, rather than a new chapter every week. That's why there was no chapter last weekend. Do I know when the next chapter will be released? Yeah, probably this weekend. But that chapter is a great breaking point. So there may not be a new chapter after that for a little bit. We'll see how these things go once we get closer to that point.Oh, and the people behind Mankin-Trad always have something cooking. When these things will be ready, well, I can't be for sure, but something is always in the works....

Spooky Special - Chapter 261

It was like a few days ago there was just another new chapter! And this chapter moves us one more chapter closer to the "official" start of the first and last, Mu Arc! Yay!Remember, consider this chapter a very early chapter for "this week's release." (we don't promise weekly releases, but it's what we aim for) So, for chapter 262, it probably won't come out until Nov.9th or so. It kinda leaves you at a cliff hanger, but there are some bigger ones coming up.Notice how Hao had some really sweet lines in this chapter. Actually, alot of characters did, which is cool.If you dressed up in a Shaman King related costume today (if you are noticing Halloween or not), and feel like showing it off, post an image in this news post comment section! In other news, the little SK characters will "change back" sometime soon. Reasoning: Onsen mini story is finally over with this chapter. They might not go back exactly the same as before the change, so look forward to it. It's the small things that count.

WTF!? Where's my Chaps!?

It's been so long since we've done a chapter, it's a real wonder we are still here. We're still here, well, at least I'm still here! And in terms of English releases, that helps alot, but the other important piece is still missing, the translator. Without the translations, there is no chapter. So, I'll go over who on the staff (which has been annouced) is doing what, or suppose to be doing, and what's happening with them, as far as I know.andysislands (me): Keeping everything together, and doing the RAW cleaning, typesetting, and releases of everything in EnglishReD: Was suppose to be doing some English translations for some later chapters, but has been busy with some stuff for the last month or so, but he's still around.yuya: Orginal translator. Gone, has been around probably won't be back, but still always open.MonsieurMucc: Was suppose to be translating Chapter 259. I have not heard from him in over a month.Alxmon: Working on more Man.Ji.En translations. If everything goes to plan (which of course, within the last month, nothing really has), I should have translations sometime over this weekend, and it would be released next weekend. So, this leads to my next part...Mankin-Trad is looking for translators (not replacement ones, but ones to help get more chapters out faster, like 2 a week again)! Here are the positions open!Japanese -> EnglishChinese -> English ** (Simplifed and Traditional, I think)Thai -> English **Korean -> English **French -> English **Italian -> English **Spanish -> English **Each one of the positions above that have a ** after it, those are a bit different. I can't get RAWs in that language, so you will need to purchase the book in that language (I can help locate places online to purchase the books if needed). No scanner required. No past experience needed. A decent level of knowledge of both languages you are translating to-and-from is common sence. Ability to use notepad, and provide translations in a timely manner is required. The positions would require you to translate the later volumes of Shaman King (or other Mankin-Trad related projects), so that less pressure is on ReD, and maybe releases could come out faster. So, if you want to translate, leave a comment in this news post with some of your contact information. Or, give me (andysislands) an e-mail, by going to our "Contact Us" page and just check my name (NOT BadS, Kami, or Nux, just check "andysislands"). Uh, let's se what's on the other bad news wagon here...Going back to the"New Project annouced!?" news post below (2 posts down), it appears to be false, sort of. There was no annoucement of an exact project. But, come on, we know it's happening. Why else would they have Takei say something about JumpSQ if he isn't going to be involved it in some way. So, something is happening. Thye probably just want to get some type of reaction out of the fans to see how strong the fans still are. So it doesn't look like anythign will be out in 2007, but early 2008 is looking pretty good.I guess, the final good news is this. Our Butsu Zone, chapter 1 release, when ever that gets done, will be very special. Special and colorful! I have no freak'n clue when that will happen, but when it does, remember this; andysislands spends money on crazy things that don't always seem so crazy. Like my inflatable Matamune! So, yeah, translators make the world go round, if we can get at least one, then we can have weekly scanlations again! Again, for the whole team, I'm very sorry for the lack of releases lately. In no form did we ever want this to happen, and we are very sorry for this (but yes, we will keep scanlating Shaman King, if we can get a translator, it will happen even faster!).

Man.Ji.En Part 1 released!

I, andysislands, am proud to annouce the start of our brand new Shaman Kin-related project... Man.Ji.En! Yes, Mankin-Trad will be scanlating BOTH extra Shaman King books (the Character book, and the fanbook). We are starting with the Man.Ji.En, but that's still cool. For some other series, there aren't any scanlations of their character books/fanbooks, but since Mankin-Trad cares, we're doing both of them! Not sure when the next release will be (of Man.Ji.En), but I am trying for a new section ever 2 weeks, but don't hold me to it.Also, just to clear this up. This release did not hold up Chapter 259.ReD is working on some later chaptersAlxmon is working on the Man.Ji.EnMonsieurMucc is working on chapter 259Plus other people working on other thingsSo, each release is independant of each other, so don't be blaming Man.Ji.En for the lack of new chapters. Trust me, I want to release them too. I just need translations, and it's home free. So hopefully it will come out soon, and I hope you enjoy this release! Also, if you want the files in a .zip folder go here:http://www.sendspace.com/file/mz5tz0(There is no online reading at this time)

New Project annouced!?

Hey guys! I'd like to take this time to annouce this...Next week, Takei will have a message in Weekly Shonen Jump! The section his message will be under is the "Go!Go!SQ!" which is a section about the new manga magazine, Jump SQ (released monthly starting in Nov.). His message could just be "support" for the new magazine, BUT there will be an illustration by Takei as well (as far as the orginal rumor-news says). And rule of thumb is (and even more so if it's noted in advance)... New drawings almost always mean a new series! And by new series, it could mean Shaman King comes back! Or it could be something new! It could be a one shot, or it could be a brand new series. Either way, it will VERY likely mean that it will be in JumpSQ and NOT Weekly Shonen Jump. This means, if it's any more than a oneshot chapter, it will be monthly chapter releases. So, I'd like to annouce at this time, or just re-confirm, if Takei releases anything in JumpSQ (oneshot, SK, or something new), Mankin-Trad will try it's hardest to scanlate what ever it is.Just like with Jyuki Ningen Jumbor, we will work hard next week to both raw scans and translations for the one page message (ok, half page message, somebody else is making a comment too). Also, if it is Shaman King coming back, yes, we will finish up all 32 volumes of Shaman King manga BEFORE it gets released (assuming it follows my prediction as stated below). So check out this site for anything Takei, since we keep you updated!(Oh, and here's just my hunch, not fact, but I'm normally not off by very much. I believe it will be Shaman King returning, but it won't start until the 2nd or more likely the 3rd issue, the January issue.)(Also, this clearly isn't the project I have talked about in the last news post, so yes, these are two different things. But with this new, soon to be annouced annoucement, Mankin-Trad will be up to 4.5 manga series scanlated (the .5 from Funbari No Uta).)

Hey!No news is good news!No updates are bad updates! This is a no update.Ummm, yeah. Chapter 259 translations still haven't come in yet. I'll be sending another e-mail. Our other project, that we are starting probably won't be done this weekend. I'm making good progress, but it's just alot to do.Also, just in case you haven't noticed, we did switch translators as of the start of Volume 30. But instead of saying "switched" the real term should be doubled up, or something. Since ReD, (who did Volume 29), is doing chapters ahead MonsieurMucc. So once we catch up to where ReD is, there should be a bunch of chapters at that point that will be ready. So, once we move through this slow period, there will be a bunch of good stuff (along with the other new project we are starting, which contains color pages for the first release!).

Mankin-Trad needs a helper person

Hey. This news post is a little later than I orginally wanted, but oh well, here it is.In the next few months, we are going to have some other non-SK chapter things happening. But they will still be Shaman King related. But either way, we have a new "job" opening. The official title is..."Shaman King manga quote continuity expert"And we need at least one, if not two people to be part of this job. You may ask, why do we need this job, and what needs to be done. In a nutshell, when there is a flashback, there is often a key quote that is used. Of course, it only makes sence to have the quote be exactly the same from when it was orginally said and when it was in the flashback. Your (future) mission will be to go find what the orginal line was, and make sure it's used in the flash back correctly. Now for the details of the "job..."- You must be able to do at least 30 frames a week- All quotes will be from past English releases (so, you need to have them)- If Viz has released a Shaman King volume which contains the quote, you must use the Viz quote (not the scanlation quote). This means you need to own Volumes 1-13 of the Shaman King manga in English.- Formating must be used exactly as listed below.- When quoting, you must be sure to use the exact syntax as is in the manga. If they put "...!!!," that's exactly what you put down, don't trim it down to "!" or anything. It must be exactly the same. You may be saying, ah, this isn't too bad, "it's just looking up some quotes." You're right, it's not too hard, for the easy frames. Some of them will be alot harder. So you need to have a photographic memory, and be able to just look at one frame and know where it came from (at least the volume number, to give you a good starting point). I just don't have the time to be doing this, along with other stuff. If you want to "apply" for this job, first look at this image:The formating needs to be listed exactly as below (include the "Volume #:"):Volume #:Chapter #:Vol Page #:Chap Page #:The quote:The "Vol page" is the page in the volume (such as page 100). The chapter page is the page within just that chapter (such as page 3). If the quote is two lines, or two bubbles, put each line on a different line. If it's from Volumes 1-13, of course you'll use the Viz release. I need this level of accuracy, just for double checking. So, if you still want this "job," take a look at that image above. And complete this "job" just like you have the "job." Follow the instructions to a "T." E-mail me your answers to this "test page" before Saturday 15th 11:59pm EST. Getting these things every week, and in a timely manner ensures that in the following week, the project won't be delayed. To e-mail me you can click on "Posted by andysislands" just under the news post topic title. Or go to the "contact" page and e-mail it to ONLY andysislands. Just check my name box, and no more. None of the other admins can help you.(This is not a for hire job. You will not be paid for your services. Accepting this "job" means you are doing this on your own free time, and such)

Chapter 258

Volume 29 was a great ending spot.Volume 30, is the begining of the end. I guess you can kinda break it up into two parts, or you could lump it alltogether to make it feel shorter. What ever floats your boat.I haven't desided on a title yet. It's one of those titles where it's simple, you can say it differently. So everybody puts their own flair on it. And so will we.UPDATED: Question!Do you want translation notes on weird Japanese ways of saying things (and comparively equal ways of saying basically the same thing in English)?I use a couple "big words" in scanlations. Because they make it cool. And the language in SK is always very complex, so I try to move that over into the English version the best I can. Would you rather me put down some notes for these "complex" words? Or would you rather have the page be "clean," and less notes? Or just move it to the credits page? Post your opinion in this news post.(Post your vote in this news posts comments. No set dead line for voting, but at some point I'll count them up, and see which one is higher. Please vote only once.)

After some delay, it's finally out! But it's not all good news!Right now, all direct downloads are down. I think the script is messed up, so it's not a hosting issue. So, just use Online Reading until it's fixed, thanks! Also, the side menu has finally been updated! (No, Chapter 257 and the Volume 29 special haven't been released yet.

Ah, translations came in a little later than the last few chapters did, so it was a bit more rushed than normal. So, there may be a few lines not perfect, but I think I cleaned it pretty nicely. And remember, it's still Friday (here, and here is what counts), so it's not a late release. Plus, it's always important to read my comments in the news posts, since I can normally tell in advance when something like this is going to happen.Anyways, this is the last "talky" chapter for a while. Ok, I guess next chapter has a bunch of talking too. But this is more "pre-game trash talk." Rather than 3rd string characters making comments about 1st string characters. Oh, yeah, and Yoh drops a bomb shell news story next chapter too. Then the Funbari Onsen Versus The Ren fight will last the rest of the volume. That's 5 more chapters of SK fighting goodness! Great for ReD, since he has less words to translate. A pain for me, since that means text will be overlapping artwork. Uggh.Come back this upcoming Tuesday for a brand new chapter!

SK251 and Commentary!

Yes, it's finally here. And if you didn't see this coming, then you are in for a shock, to say the least. Yes, this is the true chapter 251. No real questions there. Along with the standard chapter, I'm proud to release the "Shaman King Chapter 251: Commentary Edition." This extra version, will contain a whole bunch of notes and comments about stuff. It will cover up both the artwork and text. So, once this version is released, make sure you have read the orginal chapter (as linked above) first. This is just a little extra I've created, so I wouldn't make the credits page filled with too much text. And, once you get it (if you haven't read it already), you'll notice that there is some very important information on there already. So, enjoy. Chapter 252 will be released this Friday. Please look forward to it!

Two new Shaman King chapters in the same week!? Who would have thought! Oh, maybe it's because of that banner on top of this news post. Anyways, this is a shorter chapter than normal (not 19 pages, only 17). I think it's just Takei ran out of things to say. Personally, another two page of Hao/Anna fighting would have been nice, but I guess that didn't happen. Well, enjoy this chapter, since our next chapter is hard at work. It's tricky. I think we have about 4 or 5 different titles we could call Chapter 251. I'll list all the possible titles in the credits page, so expect a ton of notes in that one!

Screw the S.F.!

Welcome back to Mankin-Trad! Like back in December, we'll be releasing two new Shaman King chapters a week! But instead of them being released together on the same day, we are spreading them out. So either come here every weekend like normal and check out the new releases, or, swing in here every Tuesday this month to get a new chapter earlier! This chapter and next chapter are good, but not great. Next tuesday how ever, is amazing. Literally, production on that chapter is already starting now. This is only because, we want to make sure we get it done right. So if there is going to be any delays (which right now, I don't see happening, but things could change), it's going to be with this chapter. Chapter 250 is already half done, so there won't be any issues with that being released on time. I think that's it for now. Finally, scroll down 2 news posts, (to the one about Chapter 248), and if you are good at coloring manga, please submit your work in that post (if you want the job that is). And I haven't forgotten the weekly quiz idea yet, just hit some trouble in getting the script to work the way I want it to work.Enjoy!

Volume 24 re-release!

Have you ever noticed that links off to the left were starting to get a bit out of control? They just kept going, and all the new chapters are off of the first page (so you need to scroll). To fix this, we are doing some manga management. Our first step is to bundle old chapters into volumes. Today's release is Volume 24. It contains all the chapters and extras from Volume 24 in one download. If you still want to just do online reading, it's still there. Each chapter still has it's own online reading section. Now, you may be asking, "if there is extras in the volume 24 bundle download, do I need to redownload it?" The answer is no. To save bandwidth, I have created a simple download link below which contains all the extras but not the chapters. Also, the chapters have not been updated since their orginal release, so they aren't in HQ, and I'm so lazy, that they'll probably never be. Anyways here's the download link:Click here if you want to download ONLY the extras, and not any of the Chapters from Volume 24! Also, I'm proud to annouce that Mankin-Trad in August will no longer be only releasing chapters on a weekly basis. Instead, for all of August, we will be releasing 2 new HQ Shaman King chapters a week. The best part? You don't even have to wait until next Friday. Volume 29, with the start of Shaman King chapter 249, will be released this upcoming Tuesday, and chapter 250 next Friday. Please look forward to these new releases!

News update!Shaman King Chapter 248 is released and Volume 28 has been completed! This will be yuya's final chapter as our lead Mankin-Trad translator! So, wish yuya the best of luck!If you noticed the news post below, we are doing some translator re-structuring. Please give us about a week to get our feet back on the ground again. Hopefully we can hit the ground running, but we'll see. I think we've almost gotten it all figured out who will do what, but we could always use more Japanese -> English translators!Volume 24, the complete volume will be released soon. Also, our resident manga page colorer is away for a little while, plus we have a bunch of new chapters coming up. So, if you want to be a Mankin-Trad official manga color pager person, please post a comment in this topic with a link to your past work. You can have your own style, but I'm aiming for something that's similar to Minna-chan's style as shown here for example. Please only apply if you wish to do the job, and can do it on a weekly time frame, with deadlines (as in, before I release the chapter).

In other news...

Here's a quick little update, since I like to give updates, good or bad. First of all, there probably won't be a Shaman King chapter today or this weekend. Translations for this chapter are all set, and ready to go, except for the final 2 pages of this volume. Takei added in two of his 4-koma gags at the end of the volume. That's 2 extra pages. Since it's only 2 pages, it's not really worth having it's own release, so it should be added on to the end of Chapter 248. So chapter 248 is delayed until that comes in. But, it doesn't really matter too much, since, yuya has kinda disappeared for the last, almost a month, so there is no new translations lined up for Volume 29, as of right now. So, I can't be really sure when that's coming either. This brings me to my next point...Mankin-Trad is looking for translators! Here are the positions open!Japanese -> EnglishChinese -> English (Simplifed and Traditional, I think)Thai -> English **Korean -> English **French -> English **Italian -> English **Spanish -> English **English -> FrenchEach one of the positions above that have a ** after it, those are a bit different. Also, that last one on the list isn't a mistake, it's for scanlating Jyuki Ningen Jumbor into French (if you want to translate Jumbor into another language, contact me, we can help). The others would be positions to translate the later volumes of Shaman King (or other Mankin-Trad related projects), so that less pressure is on yuya, and maybe releases could come out faster. So, if you want to translate, leave a comment in this news post with some of your contact information. Or, give me (andysislands) an e-mail, by going to our "Contact Us" page and just check my name (NOT BadS, Kami, or Nux, just check "andysislands"). Thanks, and please look forward to our Shaman King Chapter 238, once yuya gets back online. (Also, a volume release coming soon next week for Volumes 24! This will contain every page in the volume, including extras, with a different naming system, so it's all the chapters, one right after another.)

Butsu Zone Oneshot!

Hello, all readers! It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here! Mankin-Trad's first Butsu Zone release! We've wanted to get this out for a long time, but there has been delays. But today's the day where we get this thing out there to you!But before you start reading our first release, let's cover some background information!Butsu Zone is Takei's first success, long running manga. Well, it's not very long, but longer than Jumbor, and that's what really counts. Anyways, back in the summer of 1996 (I think), after the success of his manga Itako No Anna, he puts out his first oneshot into Weekly Shonen Jump, "Butsu Zone." Everybody likes it, and then it is published in Weekly Shonen Jump. Then it goes on it's normal chapter run for 19 chapters before being cancelled. Now, the reason it was cancelled was because it had a bit too many Buddist references. It's not that people we're offended by it or anything, it's just alot of people didn't really get all the references off-hand. Everybody loved everything else about the manga. That's why, a few months later, Shaman King was born! Takei's editors basically told him to tell the same story, just reduce the Buddhism alot. Now, this isn't the end of the story. Butsu Zone has always been the story Takei WANTED to tell. Shaman King is the story people wanted to hear. But this difference didn't stop anybody. Towards the start of Shaman King's "second wind" (this is the Volumes 27-30), Takei desided that he would want to bring Butsu Zone back. By now, he has the noteablity of a manga author, SK is starting to look up, and an end of the series is in sight (in his mind). So, Senju, the lead character in Butsu Zone makes a special, fully playable apperence in the Shaman King: Funbari Spirits game for PS2 in Japan (More on this game, later this month!). With this game, the SFOV music CDs were created. This is noteworthy, since Takei was able to get some of the key voice actors of SK characters in one place, and help set up for his next project; Butsu Zone Drama CDs.The Butsu Zone Drama CDs were an interesting project. Takei didn't really have too much backing behind getting Butsu Zone back out on the market. So, in order to create these Drama CDs, most of the start up money was out of Takei's own pocket. Avex covered alot of production costs and such, but this was Takei's game, and he ran with it. Like the Butsu Zone volumes, there are 3 Drama CDs. CD 1 covers the start of Volume 1 of the manga and the entire oneshot of Itako No Anna. CD 2 finishes up Volume 1 and gets into Volume 2 a bit. CD 3 picks up a bit of Volume 2, but then goes onto an alternate ending, which is different from the manga. I guess, this is how Takei wanted Butsu Zone if he could write it over again. And with that note, we all thought that Butsu Zone was basically put to a rest. But we we're proved wrong...With the release of the Jyuki Ningen Jumbor Volume in Japan, there was an annoucement. "Butsu Zone; two complete volumes! Coming Soon!" So, Butsu Zone isn't over yet. On July 18th, 2007, there will be 2 reprint volumes of Butsu Zone released in Japan. Orginally it was 3 volumes, but each volume had a oneshot at the end of it. So, we are assuming that all these oneshots will be removed, and this should condense to 2 volumes worth. Since these are reprints, we believe it will stick to the orginal ending. But there is always room for more stuff to be added! Once these volumes are released, I'll have more info. Now, I'll present to you, the manga oneshot that started Butsu Zone, Shaman King, Jyuki Ningen Jumbor, and basically Takei's entire career.... the Butsu Zone One shot! Also, Takei is in France right now. Like literally, right now. He has a Q&A session later today. If you want to know more, come visit the Mankin-Trad Forums! You need to be registered in order to post. Also, a new Shaman King chapter, next Friday. Once yuya replies to my e-mail, I will know more.

Watch out, long news post below! Lots of info, so make sure to read it all.To start off, let's talk about what's happening in July. There are 4 big things. The first one is that SK scanlations will starting up by then. The second one is that Takei is returning to France on July 13th-15th. As you'll learn in the 32nd Volume of SK, the last time Takei went to France was just after Shaman King ended in Japan. But France was only up to Volume 25, so Takei wasn't allowed to answer any questions about the ending of Shaman King. Also, his trip to France the first time was also a huge influence on him, since the main location in Jyuki Ningen Jumbor takes place in what would be France. So, Takei returning to France now is very big. And when there is big news stories, I make sure to cover them. BadS and I, along with BadS' contact, will be posting all about Takei's trip to France and the convention he will attending. Some video coverage will be provided (not sure what it will be yet, just wait and see!). BadS will also translate the questions and answers too, so depending on how long the video is, I may sub the video (into English). So that's big and fun.The third big thing, is that Butsu Zone volumes 1 and 2 will be coming out in Japan. These will be reprints of Takei's orginal hit series. For the first printing, it was in 3 volumes. For the reprint, it's now two volumes. The "cut" material will probably be the Butsu Zone oneshot (60 pages, so 3 chapters), Death Zero oneshot (another 60 pages), and Itako No Anna (60 pages). By removing those 3, an entire volume is gone, which I believe to be the plan. Also, all reprints always get a new cover art. The art style will probably be in Takei's new style (like Jumbor). Hopefully it won't be colored in CG like the Jumbor Volume, but we can't be for sure. Also, Takei should have 2 new comments (located in the under cover flap). There may even be another comment located at the end of Volume 2, but I'm not sure. Both of these volumes will be released at the same time in July, so make sure to buy them. Strong sales of these two volumes could lead to multiple outcomes. - Shaman King restarting- Shaman King Volume reprints- Butsu Zone restarting- Takei making new Drama CDs (of Butsu Zone, or Jumbor, or SK)- Takei starting up a new manga- Takei makes lots of money. So, let's buy it, and make something happen! The fourth big thing is that Shaman King will be leaving Shonen Jump. Ok, maybe this isn't happening exactly in July. SJ issues come out a month before hand, so the August issue is the real ending of SJ, but that comes out in July, so I'll count it for July. It will end with probably only one chapter, and just before the real start of the Shaman Fight. This so happens to be in the middle of Volume 13. Awesome. If you want to read what happens after that, you have to wait until September for the full volume. Once you buy that volume, you'll get about 3 new chapters, then you need to wait until January before you get another new chapter. Awesome. But, the good side, is if you can wait that long, it's bi-monthly after that! The Shaman King manga will finally be completed in 2011 (32-14 = 18 /6 = 3years)! Awesome. I never knew that bi-monthly releases can still make this series take forever to finish! A long road ahead, really bumpy at first, but if you can wait 6 months from now, it's becomes much better. Now onto some other news!My goal for this summer is to finish Shaman King scanlations. What I define as "summer" is completely up to me, and it's only a goal.Next up on the list, is RAWs. You know, Mankin-Trad can host RAWs, not just scanlations. In fact, we used to (before I came along and tripled the number of releases). I want to do that again. But I don't want to host SK volume RAWs. SK volume raws are easy to get, let's aim for something better. To do this, I'll need some help.My goal is to host the following RAWs, the Jyuki Ningen Jumbor Volume, the Man.ji.en (SK character book), and the Official Shaman King fanb
