Just would like to say...

Happy Birthday to us! Today, 3/3/10, Mankin-Trad is 3 years old! Well, it really depends on how you count. Here's the reasons why you will say we are wrong:

- Mankin-Trad started off as a French team. So yes, you could say, Mankin-Trad started in early 2005. Fine, then we are 5 years old!

- There were Mankin-Trad releases in English before 3/3/2004! We even released Jumbor chapter 1 (from WSJ raws) before that! And that's very true. But alot of those weren't of great quality. Not that quality you have come to know and love. It's not that we aren't saying those months were important. They certainly are. But those 7 months were like my gearing up zone, to get us to where we are today!

So why this date? Well, since it's the day that mankin-trad.net domain name was purchased. And that seems like a good enough day to say, "it's our birthday!" So here we are! Yup, we are 3 on 3/3! Another year has gone by so fast! It feels like I've been doing this longer than I actually have! I know, it should be the reverse!

What are we going to do special for our birthday? A new banner! More Baru for you! What does this mean? More Jumbor is on the way! So make sure you look forward to it! More releases will be coming soon!

Hello, after several months of waiting, Mankin-Trad is proud to announce our latest release, and future project. As some of you may know, Takei has now entered the market of Ultra Jump. His first contribution to the magazine is a Jumbor oneshot. This is a sequel to his original series "Jyuki Ningen Jumbor". You can read this series right now on Mankin-Trad, just take a look through the left hand menu.

From this success, Takei will now be releasing brand new Jumbor chapters every month in Ultra Jump. Mankin-Trad is proud to announce that we will also be scanlating this series every month, as it is released from Japan. As some of you may know, some of Dit's first work here at Mankin-Trad was the original "Jyuki Ningen Jumbor." As such, the entire team will be back on again for this new series! Raws will be provided by Jezzy, translations by Dit, and I'll cover all the typesetting and cleaning. It'll be fun, and I hope you all enjoy this new series!

In the upcoming weeks and months, we will also have some other new releases. So please check back every week, and watch out for other things we have planned.

Our entire team has worked very hard on this oneshot, and we hope you enjoy our release!

Shaman King: Flowers Chapter 1

Once upon a time, Takei wrote Shaman King. Then it got cancelled. Then he wrote some more. And ended it quickly. Then he tried something else. And failed. Then he went back to Shaman King. He created several wonderful volumes. He finished with the story. But he forgot some details. So he created the "Mentalite" fanbook. He created Snake's Legs to introduce us to information we basically already know. But he knew that wasn't enough. No. He couldn't stop. As a result...

Shaman King: Flowers -Hana's Epoch- Chapter 1!

This is the true sequel to Shaman King Kang Zeng Bang. Originally published in the Mentalite fanbook, this is the start of the sequel. However, there are no plans yet for when chapter 2 will be released. Or even where! So we just got to hope for it!

When it appears, we'll be ready for it! Enjoy this chapter!

Some of you have waited a very long time for this. For fans like myself, I've waited even longer. The final, true, conclusion. An ending that Takei wanted. On Takei's timeframe. It covers alot of ground, but it needed to end somewhere. Takei picked here. There is alot to it. But this is it, chapter 300, the final Shaman King chapter. It's ready for you to enjoy. Maybe I'll do a commentary in the future. Probably something serious, which will show you the depth Takei placed in this end if you don't find it convincing.

But, we aren't done yet. Mentalite has brought us some more Shaman King goodness and we will do our best to give that to you. Plus we still have more loose ends to tie up with Kang Zeng Bang, and Shaman King in general. So look forward to that in the upcoming days, weeks, and months!

Working towards the End

Hey guys! It's me, andysislands! And I just wanted to give a nice big post on the main site about the status of Shaman King Kang Zeng Bang Chapter 300! Basically right now, it's not done. We believe in a higher quality for our releases, so we aren't going to make it look bad. As such, chapter 300 contains color pages. However, the public raw makes them look really, really bad. So, Jezzy will be scanning in some pages for us, which is completely awesome. As a result, the color pages will actually look like the original pages, not dull, uncrisp versions. So, that's going to be really nice. Also, like at the end of volume 32 of the original Shaman King manga, Takei left us with some final thoughts, Dit hasn't finished that yet, so for completion sake I wanted to add that as well.

Now, here comes the tricky part... both Jezzy and Dit's computers both blew up. So, both of them have a really hard time to get online, if at all. As a result, those two pieces are currently being put on hold. Plus, all three of us have things we need to take care in our lives, and that always comes first. So, chapter 300 can't make any progress until we get both of them back. And I wish them the very best of luck to get their computers back up to speed quickly! I will have updates in this news post (or following news posts as needed), when I know more information. Also read staff comments as well (which have a grey background!).

But there is more stuff being worked on as well. Shaman King Bonus Chapter: Snake's Legs will be completed soon. Shaman King: Flowers chapter 1 will be worked on soon as well. Plus there is another new series (not Takei related) that will start up very soon as well. Also, on our MangaHelpers page, I'll be uploading some more raws (of non-Takei mangas, which may or may not be future Mankin-Trad projects, aka: need a translator).

So, it might appear slow here, but we got things coming. Chapter 300 will be coming, just wish the best of luck to both Jezzy and Dit. Also, as a note to people in the comments, don't dare blame either of them for any delays. This was just some bad luck, and if you have some problems with Mankin-Trad related things, please contact me. Thanks. I'll keep you all posted!

Updates from Staff via comments:

Jezzy: I'm trying my very best to get my scans up (I really should have done this a long time ago, but I need a razor to separate two of the pages) before next Tuesday, since I'm leaving, and I really don't want to make you guys wait until the 19th or later. That's really not fair. I can understand you being all grrr about that.
So yeah. I have a computer whiz on my side, so hopefully between the two of us, we can get everything back.

Dit: Regards from... Germany? lol
I'll finally be back home next week, which means Takei's final letter is coming soon!
But first I need my laptop alive D: (A storm killed the poor thing, you know...)
Thanks for the cheerings, cards and everything, you guys are awesome

Kamisama: I'm still here, and my computer is very healthy .... mouhahahaha
